Roof Cake Connect
for MyTravelers homeowners

You.
Travelers.
Roof Cake.
Working together.

Roof Cake is your Travelers-vetted, Travelers-backed program contractor, and we are paid after you sign that the work is complete and you're satisfied.

Two questions

Who we work for, and what we do

Who do we work for?

Short answer: You.
If you're not satisfied, we don't get paid.

Travelers set it up that way on purpose. We were brought in to complete the work and make sure that your claim payout delivered what you were promised when you agreed to your insurance policy.

Are we adjusters?

No, Roof Cake is your roofing contractor: we look over the roof, record what we find, and do the roofing.

Travelers determines the coverage. You make the decisions. We do the work.

Roof Cake doesn't decide insurance coverage, and no roofer can promise what an insurance company will pay.

Vetting by your insurer

Roofing companies come and go in North Texas.

Your insurance company has done the homework on us to make sure that you don't get burned.

An additional layer of assurance

Travelers backs our warranty as a second layer of assurance that you won't be left holding the bag.

Accessibility

We are available to discuss your roof when you are. We can talk directly to your adjuster to coordinate your work and ensure that you get what you need to complete the roof to the highest standard.

Results. Fast.

With a direct line of communication with your adjuster, we can complete your project, finish out the paperwork, and get you on your way fast.

What happens next

From assessment to sign-off

  1. The assessment

A project manager comes out, looks at the roof and everything outside, and walks you through the findings.

  2. The scope

We write up the scope, the written list of the work, and your insurer confirms it before the work starts.

  3. Your decision

You choose what you want done, products and colors.

  4. The work

Our crews do the work and ensure that your property is kept the way we found it.

  5. Your sign-off

You sign that the work is complete and you're satisfied, and then Roof Cake is paid.

  6. Stand behind it

Our workmanship warranty covers the roof for five years, and Owens Corning's limited lifetime warranty covers Duration shingles.

More questions

What else homeowners ask.

Can I choose my shingle color, or upgrades?
Yes. This is your home and you are in control. We are here to help.
Will this affect my insurance premium?
Yes, a new roof paid for by insurance claim proceeds will affect your insurance premium. For more information on how it will specifically affect you, contact your insurance agent.
What do I pay?
On a claim, you pay your deductible, the upgrades you choose, and the non-recoverable depreciation. If this doesn't make sense, don't worry, part of our role is to walk you through the process so that you understand exactly what is going on and what it means for your home.
