How we handle your information.
Short version: we collect what you send us so we can answer you and do the work. We don't sell it.
What we collect
When you fill out a form on this site, we collect what you enter: your name, phone number, email address, property address, and what you tell us about your roof.
When you send a form, we also note which page of this site you arrived on and the site that sent you here, so we can tell which pages are useful. It is remembered only for your visit, in your own browser, and is not used to follow you to other sites.
When you call or email us, we keep a record of the conversation so we can help you.
Our hosting provider records basic technical information about visits, such as IP address and browser type, to keep the site secure and running.
How we use it
To answer your request, schedule an inspection, prepare an estimate, do the work, and honor your warranty.
If your project involves an insurance claim, we share what's needed with your insurance company and, where it applies, your mortgage company, as you authorize.
We don't sell your information, and we don't share it with other companies for their marketing.
Who helps us
We use service providers to run this website and deliver messages, including website hosting and email delivery. They handle your information only to provide those services to us.
This site uses a bot check on the contact and warranty claim forms to stop spam. It doesn't use advertising or tracking cookies.
Our instant quote page uses a service from Roofle to show an instant quote for your roof. What you enter in its panel goes to Roofle and to Roof Cake, and Roofle's own privacy policy, not this one, says what Roofle does with it: https://offers.roofle.com/privacy-policy. The panel also loads maps from Google and Mapbox, and Mapbox measures the map's use.
Our build-day page shows a still image of each video, which your browser loads from YouTube as the page shows it. A video's player loads from YouTube's privacy-enhanced address only when you tap to play it, and YouTube's own privacy policy, not this one, covers the player and anything it stores.
Partner sign-in for Roof Cake Connect: the email you enter is checked by our site and not kept. A recognized email takes you to Cloudflare Access, where you enter it again and Cloudflare sends you a one-time code; Cloudflare's own privacy policy says what it does with it: https://www.cloudflare.com/privacypolicy/
Our contact and warranty claim forms can suggest addresses with Google's address finder. It loads from Google only when you click into the property address field, and what you type there goes to Google to suggest addresses.
Text messages
If you provide your mobile number and opt in, Roof Cake may send you SMS/MMS messages about your project, including appointment reminders and service updates. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP; reply HELP or call 888-312-2253 for assistance.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Mobile opt-in data and consent are never sold or shared. We share information only with service providers that help us deliver these messages (for example, our SMS provider), and only as needed to send the messages you requested.
Your choices
You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, subject to records we're required to keep.
