Roof replacement

Roof problems. Off your plate.

A new roof is one of the biggest purchases you'll make for your home. You should understand what you're buying, what it costs, and who will be there if something goes wrong.

The roofing system

A roof is a system.

Each part has a job. Here is what we install and why.

Select your shingle

Good

Owens Corning Supreme

A traditional three-tab shingle, for when a simple, economical roof is the right fit.

Better

Owens Corning Duration

An architectural shingle with deep color and dimension. Rated Class 3 for impact resistance, with a reinforced nailing strip that helps it hold in high wind.

Best

Owens Corning Duration Storm

The impact-resistant upgrade. Rated UL 2218 Class 4, one of the industry's highest impact ratings. Some insurers offer a premium discount for Class 4 roofs; check with your insurance company.

Everything else in the system

Hip and ridge

Manufactured hip and ridge cap on every roof.* Purpose-made Owens Corning ridge shingles finish the peaks: DecoRidge or ProEdge, and ImpactRidge on Duration Storm roofs, where it's required to complete the Class 4 system.

Valley protection

Owens Corning WeatherLock leak barrier goes under the shingles in the valleys, where the most water runs, and on low-slope areas. It's more than insurance estimates typically pay for. We use it because it's best practice.

Underlayment

Pro Guard 20 synthetic underlayment instead of traditional felt. It lies flat, doesn't absorb water and is far stronger than felt.

Starter strip

Owens Corning Starter Strip Plus on every roof.

Flashing

Metal that seals the joints: chimneys, walls and edges. Most leaks start at a joint.

Ventilation

Lets heat and moisture out of the attic, which is good for the roof and the house.

Decking

The wood under everything. It can only be fully checked once the old roof is off.

* Except three-tab roofs.

Pricing

What it costs, and when to pay

One price: the cash price we'd give a homeowner paying out of pocket. It doesn't go up because insurance is paying.

No money down until installation day. No credit card fees. Financing available.

The process

From the first call to the warranty

Assess, Inform, Build and Stand behind it, spelled out.

  1. Assess

Complete the form or give us a call. We'll schedule your inspection for a time that works for you, and your project manager will meet you at your home to assess and document everything.

  2. Inform

Learn the condition of your property, what is in good shape, and what needs attention. Then we discuss what your options are.

  3. Build

Our crew repairs or installs your roof, making sure that nothing gets damaged in the process. We leave your home exactly as we found it. That's part of every job.

  4. Stand behind it

Two warranties cover your roof, one from us and one from the manufacturer; the terms are on the warranty page.

Everyone from the laborers to office staff were excellent to work with.

During the job

What can go wrong during the job?

No surprises. If we find something once the old roof is off, such as damaged decking, you'll see photos and the unit price we gave you before the job started. Nothing is added without your OK.
