What does a new roof cost, and why?
When you hire Roof Cake directly, the price comes from your roof itself: its size and pitch, the old layers that come off, the decking, and the shingle you choose.
Part by part
What moves the price
Size and pitch
A bigger roof takes more material and more hours, and a steeper one takes more care to work on safely.
Old layers
Every old layer comes off before the new shingles go on, so a roof with extra old layers costs more to tear off.
The decking
Damaged decking, the wood under the shingles, adds to the job when it is found.
The shingle you choose
Each of the three shingle lines carries its own price.
The rest of the system
The underlayment, starter strip, valley leak barrier and ridge cap that go with the shingles are part of the price.
Paying for it
